Dr. M. Kathiresan, is an accomplished Interventional Cardiologist, well known for his integrity and interventional skills specifically in complex angioplasties, Intracoronary imaging, Endovascular procedures and structural heart disease interventions.
He belongs to 1992 batch MBBS in Stanley Medical College, completed MD General Medicine from Madurai Medical College (1999 to 2002) and DM Cardiology from Madras Medical College (2005 to 2008). He completed Fellowship in Intervention Cardiology (FNB – Interventional Cardiology) from Madras Medical Mission Hospital.
He was a consultant in Madras Medical Mission, SRM Medical College Hospital and Kauvery Hospital before joining Apollo Hospitals in 2016. He is now a full time senior consultant and Interventional Cardiologist in Apollo Main Hospital, Greams Road and Apollo Speciality Hospital, OMR, Perungudi.
Complex angioplasty specifically means chronic total occlusions (CTO), left main interventions, bifurcation lesions, Rotablation for calcified lesions.
