Dr. Kathiresan completed his DM in Cardiology from Madras Medical College, one of India’s most prestigious government medical institutions. He then pursued a dedicated two-year Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology (FNB) at the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Madras Medical Mission, a high-volume tertiary cardiac centre known for complex procedures.

This structured and intensive fellowship training laid the foundation for his long-standing focus on advanced coronary interventions.

He then underwent advanced training in world renowned international centres in France, Japan and South Korea.
